Saturday’s parade from the Square and ceremonial opening of the refurbished hall proved to be a great a success. The pipe band did us proud and ensured there was an big crowd following by the time we reached the hall.
With John Swinney, Chris Brammer, Alex Duncan, Derek Colley and Rev. Mike Erskine on hand to open the hall and cut the centenary cake the event had a real sense of occasion.
At night we had a cheese and wine that was attended by around 100 people and raised over £300. Not bad as it was only designed to cover it’s costs!
